I really liked this place. It is small sweet and friendly. There is a communal room with a couple of lounges where you can chat with other travellers. And the shared bathrooms were remarkably clean and spacious. And the room I stayed in was really spacious (considering it is a hostel) and had remarkable views of a canal and the Venice rooftops. I also love the views from the rooftop terrace they have. It's really surreal at sunset id stay here again just for the views available. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the wifi was great. Also the hostel is also onlyminutes walk to St. Marks Square and the gondolas. The included breakfast is a nice continental one: A Croissant, Toast, A Bread Roll, Cereal, Orange Juice and Milk. Which is enough to get you going for the day. There is also a ferry stop a short distance walk (100meters or so) from the hostel which is really convenient. I'd highly recommend that you consider staying here on your trip to Venice. I will definately be staying here when I return.
Less than 10 minutes walk from the San Zaccaria water taxi stop which is ideal and an easy walking distance from San Marco square which is a hive of activity from dawn til well after dusk. Rooms were basic but clean and I was pleasantly surprised to receive towels & personal soap (a rarity in hostels). Wifi was decent most of the time in the spacious & comfy communal areas & if you were really lucky could even connect to it in your room. Bathrooms were always clean and only once in my 4 night stay did I have to wait a few minutes for a free shower. Breakfast was a croissant, bread roll, melba toast served with a hot drink (best coffee I've ever had), cereal & juice also available which was more than enough to set me up for a day of sightseeing! The roof terrace is only open at breakfast but it is a must see, absolutely breath-taking views of the surrounding area & sea. On the whole staff were very friendly, my only slight issue was on my morning of check-out because they were understaffed and I was made to feel responsible for breakfast opening late in order for me to check out, (this also meant I missed breakfast too) but I couldn't risk not checking out & paying early and potentially missing my taxi to airport.I would recommend and return to this establishment.
From the water taxi the hotel is a 10 minute walk. The staff was extremely friendly. You paid cash when you check out. Free breakfast and wifi. The hotel is in walking distance of beautiful views of Venice, plenty of restaurants to eat, shopping and cafes. If your looking for a budget friendly hotel for a 1or 2 this is then place for you. Enjoy
We've traveled the world and stayed from top class hotels as well hostels. But what happened here in this hotel is unbelievable. We were made responsible for damaging the air-conditioning of the entire hotel. We haven't touched it and being blamed for doing something we haven't done. Their entire electrical infrastructure is very bad, so there are probably other reasons why it's not working. I'm an certified electrical engineer and then being blamed of doing something which we haven't done. Also being blamed for it, that the Wi-Fi isn't working, which was finally up and running the next morning.The behavior of such a staff is unbelievable! We take responsibility if we have done something, but I can't take it if we haven't!The place itself is close to all locations and convenient located. Bathrooms are shared with all others. Room were clean but extremely run down.I really can't recommend that place, due to their staff and how they are dealing with their customers!!!!! Please find a different place for your stay!!!
The location is amazing, the price even better. The breakfast is really good with bread, croissant, jams butter and coffee/milk/coffee. It's also very clean and organised. Only problem was the staff. They made me feel as if I was asking them for favours or as if they didn't wanted to be there. The guy from the Philippines was the nicest and the only one who made me feel comfortable about being there.
