Had one course lunch. My wife had Nicoise Salad, huge portion, I had delicious pizza. Initially thought not much Jambon, so wrong. Below large cover of cheese was a whole layer of Jambon. Every dish I saw produced looked inviting, and big quantity. Care if in a large group where everyone orders pizza, service will be disjointed because they can only bake 2/3 at a time. Well worth waiting for. With carafe of wine, 30 euros, excellent value
After having a lot of email contact about our arrival time, it was ok to arrive a little later. We agreed to check in at 22:30.Finally, after our flight we rang the hotel to announce our arrival. But then they said: “No no no! Hotel is closed!!” $#%*!! What the ... ! Now we have to sleep at a crappy hotel which is too expensive.... Unreliable!
We booked a one night stay through Booking.com, and the system forced us to reserve 2 bedrooms for our family of 4. On arrival the very friendly manageress explained that she could put an additional bed in a 3 bed family room and that this would be cheaper for us. She helped us to cancel the original booking and was extremely helpful. This great service continued with lots of help to keep our picnic food cool in the hotel fridge and with storing bags while we went trekking in the nearby fabulous national park. We had a good meal in the hotel restaurant too and they were very child-friendly. Room was simple but very clean. A little bit of early morning street noise (we overlooked the square) but not too bad. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for fantastic customer service in a wonderful wee town.
We stayed one night in Tende and chose hotel Miramonti just because we happened to be there in the evening. The hotel is right in the centre of the village, and as the main road goes through the valley, there is a lot of traffic and noise. However, the tunnel is closed for the night, so the traffic almost stops for that time.The double room cost less than 50 euros a night and was fine apart from the fact that bathroom door was replaced by a curtain which didn't even close properly. Most people would probably prefer a bit more privacy.During our stay the restaurant downstairs was closed and there were just a few guests in the hotel, so it was quiet enough.The staff were nice and helpful.
